3 Students on a Camping Trip Drown in Cavite

Three students on a weekend camping trip were drowned last Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Dismo River, Barangay Putting Kahoy in Silang Cavite. The bodies of the students were said to be swept by the river all the way to Laguna province. The bodies of the victims were reportedly discovered on Tuesday on the shore of San Cristobal Lake in Barangay Looc, Calamba City.

NDRRMC confirmed the names of the 3 students who were drowned at the incident. They are:

Jay Ehurango Mellapis, a 22 years old from Paradise Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro
Kimberly Austria Guardias, a 19 year old from Aburoan Roxas, Palawan
Catherine Codog Taroquin, a 21 year old from Langgam, San Pedro, Laguna
