Finally, Facebook has officially released the embedded post feature, a social plugin which will now allow anyone including those who use third-party websites, blogs, and other media platforms to easily add public posts from Facebook to their sites. The feature was initially launched by Facebook in partnership with CNN, Huffington Post, Bleacher Report, PEOPLE, and Mashable. This latest feature of Facebook works the same way as the embedded tweets of Twitter.

How to Embed Facebook Post on Websites or Blogs
Step 1: Find the Facebook post you want to embed. At the top right corner of the post click the small arrow down to see the post options. Select and click “embed post” at the bottom of the options.
Note: Only public posts from Facebook users and Facebook pages can be embedded in your site.
Step 2: A window with the embed code and the preview of the embedded post will pop-up. The code is already highlighted so just right-click and click “copy”.
Step 3: Go to your site or blog editor and make sure you’re in the coding tab. In WordPress, it is the “Text” tab while in Blogger, it is the “HTML” tab (See pictures below). Right-click in any area and click ‘paste” to insert the embed code you copied from Facebook.

Other features of an embedded Facebook post:
- It displays the same way as how we see posts on Facebook.
- It has the ability to show pictures, videos and even hashtags.
- People can directly like or share the embedded post from your website or blog.
- They can also like the Facebook page or follow the user where the embedded post came from.
- People can also click the comments which will open in a new tab.
